Nike KD 10

Statistics

*Please take these numbers with a grain of salt as these are stats that I came up with from my experience, it doesn't mean that you shall have the same results*

Summary

Welcome everybody, today we're starting a new franchise on our Site, that's no other than Kevin Durant, one of the best basketball players in the league and also one of the best players in the world.

Reviewing his signature franchise will be a blast, we're starting off the KD journey with no other than KD10, stay tuned to see how this will go.

Traction

Alright so starting off with traction, KD10 features a radial pattern made of rubber, I wouldn't call it very durable as very people are reporting the traction wearing off rather quickly.

Not much can be added when it comes to traction, it offers an optimal amount of grip, but I wouldn't be too comfortable on lateral movement.

Cushion

We've reached my favorite part of every shoe, the cushion. KD 10 features a FULL LENGTH Air Zoom unit, visible from outside as well and I can tell you that the impact protection both on take off and landing is flawless.

Now if you're a quick guard such as myself, one thing that you would not want to sacrifice under any circumstance is responsiveness, and worry not, even with the superb impact protection offered by the Zoom Air unit on KD10, you lose no court feel at all, and that is indeed a very big plus.

Material, Fit & Support

It makes perfect sense that Nike would use nothing else other than the best materials for our superstar athlete Kevin Wayne Durant.

And so they did.

The shoe features a full Flyknit upper giving absolute breathability and optimal stretch which helps the shoe remain comfortable with a sock-like fit.

Now the Nike KD10 runs a bit long so I would advise you guys to go up half a size, as for wide footers you can stay true to size due to the Flyknit material being pretty stretchy.

As mentioned on the above, the KD10 runs pretty long, the materials are soft and stretchy, and lastly the shoe is a low-top shoe.

Now all these combined mean bad news when it comes to support. The lack of a wide base, firm materials and a high-top make this shoe pretty unstable. Not to mention the radial traction pattern which makes lateral movement hard on it's own.

I'm afraid that I'll give minimal points to support due to not offering even minimal protection.

Pros and Cons

  • Superb FULL LENGTH Zoom Air cushion
  • Great colorways
  • Premium Materials

     -

  • Traction Wears off quickly
  • Radial Pattern makes lateral movement dangerous
  • Support is minimal to nonexistent
  • Low quality-price ratio

Bottom Line

We've reached the end of the line boys and girls.

So we'll go over what we've learned from the 10th release on KD Franchise just one last time.

The shoe is amazing when it comes to cushion and materials, but sadly it lacks on something very important, support.

The reason this happens is due to a couple of factors that make little to no difference on the support part, however, if you combine these factors that leads to recipe for disaster.

Now it is a great shoe overall but due to the lack of support I do advise you to keep your movement in check and don't make hasty/risky decisions in the heat of the game as you might injure yourself pretty badly.

That'll be all for now. As always, thank you guys for your time, and until next time, see ya!

Stay tuned for more!
