Summary
Traction
Welcome everyone to another review on the Hyperdunk line, I know that I completely roasted the 2012 model but I'm here with it's successor and I can say that there are plenty of things done right on this one.
Yes you guessed it, Herringbone, if you read my reviews often you'll know that I'm a big fan of herringbone and boost, this shoe features a full length herringbone and not just that, I'd call it brave for Nike to implement a horizontal herringbone system. It was a job well done as the herringbone traction is simply flawless and the horizontal sides give you a pretty strong grip when you need to guard laterally.
Starting the review with such a great energy I'm sure that the 2013 model will redeem the big mess Nike made on Hyperdunk 2012.

Cushion
Yep, they did it again. Lunarlon everyone.
Don't get me wrong, I love Lunarlon, I worn so many basketball shoes over the years that featured Lunarlon, my favorite of them being Kobe Mamba instinct. My issue with Hyperdunk 2012 and it's successor is that Lunarlon is not full length.
I did not try the 2013 model on the Hyperdunk franchise, I never owned it to begin with, this review is made by relying on research and on interviews that I made on people who had worn and played with them. But having experience with the 2012 release and the 2013 one being the same, with Lunarlon on the forefoot and the heel I can come to the conclusion that after it reaches the "Bottoming out" period the feeling on your foot will be simply disgusting. As I previously stated on the 2012 review, the area on the mid-foot is made with a dense pylon material, thus giving your foot a very uncomfortable arch.

Again, I love Lunarlon but the tech bottoms out just too quickly leaving you with a shoe that has no impact protection and a very uncomfortable arch.
Material
This is a good one, Nike came up with a very neat material tech called "Hyperenforcer", it's a great combination of Nike Hyperfuse and Flywire (Featured on the 2012 build) This makes use of Nike's mesh, increasing the amount of mesh and decreasing the amount of synthetic leather makes the shoe softer, more comfortable, decreases the break-in period as well as preserves the durability of the shoe.
Nike did go right on this one and they have my respect on it, they do listen to their customers and when something simple does not work, they will not implement it, instead they will give us innovation and breathe life into amazing things.

Support & Fit
Another thing that Nike did pretty well on this model is the support, still, the support offered by this shoes predecessor is still superior, but they made it better by increasing the width of the base, heel, and the high tops. The lockdown of this sneaker accompanied by the superb fit is also a huge help on securing great support on your ankles.
Pros and Cons
- Great ankle support
- Superb harringbone traction
- Horizontal herringbone traction
- Premium materials
- True one:one fit
- Great colorways
- Faster break-in period
-
- Lunarlon cushion bottoms out quickly
- Post bottom out period the shoe feels uneven arching your foot
Bottom Line
We've reached the end of this review, I'm sure you have a couple of questions that want answer, and we'll get there in a brief second.
Just wanted to return to the important parts one more time.
We've seen a great deal of improvement from the disaster that of this shoe's predecessor and frankly speaking, I did not purchase this shoe just because I felt cheated after my disappointment on the Hyperdunk 2012.
Now the big question.
Did the Hyperdunk 2013 redeem the big mess left behind by it's predecessor?
The answer to that is yes.
Is it worth purchasing the 2013 release of the Hyperdunk line?
I'll go with a no.
There are a huge deal of shoes that are a lot better than Hyperdunk 2013, signature and non signature ones. The value for money on this one is pretty low and you can get much more by adding a couple of dollars more, you can even upgrade by going cheaper, thus the answer is a no.

That'll be all for now. As always, thank you guys for your time, and until next time, see ya!
