Adidas Harden Vol. 3

Statistics

*Please take these numbers with a grain of salt as these are stats that I came up with from my experience, it doesn't mean that you shall have the same results*

Summary

Traction

Hello and welcome to yet another review of our MVP, James Harden. Starting off with the traction pattern, I'm proud to say that it features my personal favorite traction pattern, herringbone, and as you know, one can never go wrong on herringbone.

The herringbone traction is amazing, I've played a great deal on outdoor courts with them, and they work fantastically well, I played with stable traction for about 20-25 minutes without the need of wiping. On the other hand, on indoor courts the bite was so strong I thought I dislocated my hip joint.

Cushion

The cushion features the one and only, the Adidas Boost Technology, as most of you who've been following my reviews constantly know, I adore Boost. It's one of the best cushions that features maximal impact absorption, and as you know, Harden Vol. 3 has a ton of it, there is a cost though, the massive impact protection sacrifices the responsiveness and court feel that fast guards require.

Materials

The third sneaker on the Harden line features a flyknit upper, Adidas went right on this one as the materials are pretty lightweight and pretty durable on top of that, it does match Harden's play-style to the point as it gives you a lot of flexibility on lateral movement and guarding, and it has the durability required to score under the hoop against big guys.

Support

The third shoe of our young MVP's franchise offers quite the amount of support even though it lacks a high top. The support comes from the wide sole base and the boost being contained laterally. So far playing with these bad boys was a great experience, the injuries on the ankle are minimal to none, but this does not mean that it will be the same for all of you, different of wearers have different sizes and weights, proceed with caution as you are predisposed to ankle rolls.

Fit

Alright from what I noticed, the break-in period for this sneaker was about two weeks long, give or take depending on how much you use them. After the break in period the shoe will stretch and have a true one:one fit.

Pros and Cons

  • Short break in period
  • Excellent Herringbone traction
  • Amazing cushion, Boost-Tech
  • Optimal support
  • Breathtaking colorways
  • Premium Materials

Bottom Line

What more can I add, the third sneaker of the James Harden line is simply flawless, a shoe can't have everything, just like this one doesn't, but despite that fact, the Vol .3 is a work of art. A masterpiece. I personally love it and I strongly encourage you guys to try it out. The shoe comes on a retail price of 140$ and it's worth every penny.

That'll be all for now. As always, thank you guys for your time, and until next time, see ya!
